Emaldo & CheckWatt Sign a Co-operation Agreement

Following a regulatory approval process, Emaldo have been informed that the acquisition of CheckWatt has been rejected by the Swedish authorities due to this being considered critical infrastructure in Sweden.

While we are naturally disappointed, this was always one of the potential outcomes and we have prepared extensively for this possibility.

During the regulatory review process, over the past 9 months, Emaldo and CheckWatt have established a highly productive partnership and close working relationship.

We are pleased to inform all our partners and customers that this deep commercial relationship will continue, ensuring no loss of service or benefits to customers.

Moreover, we have taken the opportunity to formalise and strengthen this partnership into a full Co-operation agreement to ensure we can continue to build out these exciting joint value propositions within a structured framework.

At Emaldo we remain committed to developing market-leading energy storage, intelligent control, and value-generating services to maximize asset value. This ongoing partnership with CheckWatt remains key to that ambition. Alongside this though, we will now take the opportunity to extend our aggregation partner portfolio to enable us to extend our services offerings to our customers, faster than ever.
